Courteney Cox and husband David Arquette are planning to adopt a baby in a bid to keep their marriage alive, it has been claimed.

According to American tabloid the National Enquirer, the couple - who are parents to daughter Coco, 4 - plan to start adoption proceedings soon after Cox’s multiple attempts at getting pregnant again failed.

A source says, “David wants a sibling for Coco, but Courteney’s reached a point where she feels it’s hopeless to keep trying to get pregnant.

“They love each other very much, but with Courteney’s intense work schedule and her resisting adoption, David started acting out, going out nights without her.

“But now that Courteney’s given the OK to adopting a brother or sister for Coco, David has agreed to scale back on nights out and be more accommodating to Jennifer Aniston when she’s on the scene.

“It’s a win-win scenario for Courteney and David.”

Courteney Cox has developed a thing for Lindsay Lohan’s girlfriend Samantha Ronson after spotting the DJ at an L.A. bar.

The former Friends star says she found herself unable to take her eyes off Lindsay’s gal pal after spotting her at another table while she was dining with Jennifer Aniston at The Sunset Tower Hotel.

But Courteney – who has been married to actor David Arquette since 1999 - is at a loss to explain her fascination with Sam.

She tells Britain’s Marie Claire, “Why are people so fascinated with celebrity? I don’t know…Do I wanna know about her (Ronson)?

“Well, yeah, a little bit. I do. What’s the deal? I haven’t quite figured it out myself.”

Courteney may be in luck - if recent reports are to be believed, it may not be long before Sam is back on the market.

According to studio estimates, Disney’s family film ‘Bedtime Stories’ with Adam Sandler came second after earning 28.1 million dollars, reports E! Online.

‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button’, starring Brad Pitt, landed the third spot with 27.2 million dollars.

Tom Cruise’s Nazi thriller ‘Valkyrie’ came fourth after raking 21.5 million dollars.

‘Yes Man’, starring Jim Carrey rounded off the top five with 16.5 million dollars.
